Adrem Invest contributed to the modernization of the electricity metering infrastructure for Distribuție Energie Oltenia (DEO), by implementing the installation and integration services of smart meters and developing the infrastructure necessary for the transition from traditional metering to a digital consumption monitoring system.
The project, started in 2009, aimed to modernize the large-scale metering infrastructure in the Oltenia distribution area, by installing smart meters and managing the operations associated with the existing metering infrastructure.
The implementation included complex fieldwork for the installation and replacement of measuring equipment, configuration of meters, verification of technical parameters, commissioning and integration into the distribution operator’s measurement data management systems.
Through the implemented infrastructure, consumption data is automatically collected and transmitted to the central management systems, providing the operator with a more accurate picture of the operation of the network, reducing manual interventions and increasing operational efficiency.
The project involved the management of a high volume of activities carried out in the field, in an extensive distribution infrastructure, with installation, replacement, verification and maintenance operations for millions of measurement points.
The result is a modernized metering infrastructure, which supports the digitalization of the electricity grid, improves the quality of consumption data and allows the distribution operator to develop services based on real-time monitoring and data-driven decisions.
