Strengthening the electrical network for supplying the Dăbuleni City Hospital

Ensuring a safe and continuous supply of electricity for medical infrastructures is a strategic priority for distribution operators. In this context, ADREM carried out for Distribuție Energie Oltenia the design and execution works necessary to strengthen the electricity network in the municipality of Dăbuleni, in order to connect and supply the Dăbuleni City Hospital through a new transformer substation.

The project aimed to increase the distribution capacity and strengthen the local energy infrastructure by modernizing and reconfiguring the existing network. The works included the amplification and re-equipping of PTA 2 Dăbuleni in a new 20/0.4 kV PTAB transformer substation with an installed power of 630 kVA, adapted to the current consumption and reliability requirements. At the same time, a reconfiguration of the medium voltage infrastructure was carried out, the existing pole being integrated into the new configuration of the electrical connection.

For the supply of the new transformer substation, medium and low voltage underground cabling works were carried out, including approximately 105 meters of 20 kV underground power line and approximately 400 meters of low voltage underground power line. The new infrastructure allowed the takeover and redistribution of power for several public distribution circuits, as well as the integration of existing consumers in the area.

The transformer substation was equipped with modern medium and low voltage installations, including line and transformer cells, protection and control equipment, power quality monitoring systems and GPRS communication solutions for the transmission of operational data. The implemented configuration ensures the monitoring of operating parameters and allows the efficient and safe operation of the installation.

The design was completed in October 2020, and the execution works were completed in December 2020, despite the unfavorable weather conditions encountered during the works. Through this investment, Distribuție Energie Oltenia consolidated the energy infrastructure in the municipality of Dăbuleni and created the necessary conditions for the safe supply of an essential medical institution for the community.

The implementation of the project contributes to increasing the reliability of the network, improving the quality of the distribution service and ensuring the continuity of electricity supply for one of the most important public consumers in the area.
