Modernization of the PTA 1 Celle connections and the takeover of consumers in the PTAB Celle

The project carried out for Distribuție Energie Oltenia aimed at modernizing the electricity distribution infrastructure in the Cea district, Corabia city, an area of special importance from a historical and cultural point of view, located in the vicinity of the archaeological site “Sucidava Roman Fortress”. The specificity of the site imposed special execution conditions, all the works being carried out under the supervision and coordination of specialists from the Olt County Museum of History, in order to protect the existing archaeological heritage.

The investment aimed to modernize the low-voltage network and increase the electricity supply capacity for consumers in the area. Within the project, approximately 7 kilometers of low-voltage overhead power line (LEA JT) were modernized, by replacing the existing conductors with modern equipment, adapted to the current operating and safety requirements. At the same time, 343 electrical connections were modernized and 87 poles that no longer met the technical and operational requirements were replaced.

An important element of the project was the construction of a new transformer substation – PTAB Cele – intended to redistribute tasks and increase the network’s supply capacity. The new transformer substation took over the supply for approximately 140 consumers out of the total number of those served in the area, contributing to balancing consumption and improving the quality of the distribution service.

By implementing these works, the local energy infrastructure has been modernized and adapted to the current consumption requirements, ensuring a safer and more stable supply for the inhabitants and economic agents in the area. Increasing the distribution capacity and reducing the risk of interruptions contribute both to the local economic development and to the improvement of the conditions for tourist activities carried out near the Sucidava archaeological site.

The project highlights ADREM’s ability to carry out complex works to modernize the electricity networks under special site conditions, while simultaneously complying with the technical requirements of the distribution operator and the necessary measures to protect the cultural and historical heritage.
